CIFMARKETS Review 2026
Abstract: This review of CIFMarkets contains comprehensive information about this broker. This analysis will save you time on searching for information about cifmarkets.com and will give an answer to the question about the reliability of the platform and trading with it.
Summary: In 2026, the CFD broker CIFMarkets establishes low standards of trading and security. The site does not have experience and was created only on 2026-03-03 by unknown people. The platform does not have professional trading terminals, deep analytics of markets, copy trading, and hedging. A meager set of instruments with an unfinished WebTrader without global servers affects the quality of trading and the making of deals. Training and support are much below industry standards, a dubious new license from an offshore regulator adds risk. Cifmarkets.com received a low overall rating and is considered not a suitable place for trading.

Cifmarkets.com is a new CFD broker with offshore regulation, which appeared on March 3, 2026, the domain was bought for only a year until the middle of 2027. Our experts evaluated the project at a very low score of 10/100 points.
This is connected with low security in view of the new site and an offshore license, and also with the lack of transparency in pricing in trading, an underdeveloped trading terminal and a primitive trading experience from the unfinished browser terminal WebTrader. Users complain about blockings of accounts and the lack of hedging, there are no functions of copy trading, educational resources and automation of trading.
CIFMarkets acts as a niche CFD-broker offering stocks, currencies, indices, Forex, metals and cryptocurrencies, but it is not worth forgetting that this is not a real market but CFD contracts in a closed system of the platform itself. The site claims that it works under the company ACLIVE WEALTH ADVISORY (PTY) LTD from South Africa under the offshore regulation of FSCA, the names of the owners or the team are not disclosed. Aggressive leverage 1:300, forbidden for CFDs in most countries, even more aggravates the risk of a fast loss of the deposit, unlike trading at the flagships of the industry where it is lower as well as the level of stop out is higher, here it is only 0.07% which threatens with a complete loss of funds at cross-margin.

CIFMarkets Safety
CIFMarkets offers its services under an offshore license from another company, ACLIVE WEALTH ADVISORY (PTY) LTD. We conducted an OSINT analysis and compared the website data with the registry. There is no reliable evidence that this company is affiliated with cifmarkets.com.
The website’s footer lists the address as 1 Hood Avenue, Rosebank, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 2196 (this is an upscale business district in Johannesburg). We checked the official register of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority of South Africa where the company is registered and found no mentions or links to the broker’s website. Furthermore, a different office address is listed there: 6 VASCO DA GAMA DRIVE, AMANZIMTOTI, DURBAN, KWA-ZULU NATAL, SOUTH AFRICA, 4126 (this is a coastal residential area in Durban, a completely different province, 600 km from Johannesburg).
And most importantly, even assuming the company is listed in the register, it clearly states that ACLIVE WEALTH ADVISORY IS NOT A RETAIL BROKER – it is a privately held advisory firm with one employee.

Next, we tried to find any mention of the team. The FSCA registry clearly states: “This FSP doesn’t have any Representatives”—an impossibility for a major international broker like CIFMarkets presents itself as.

Summary: The real company, ACLIVE WEALTH ADVISORY (PTY) LTD, may exist in South Africa as a small local consulting firm based in Durban. But the CIFMarkets website brazenly uses their information. These are scammers who will take your deposits, draw numbers in the terminal, and when you try to withdraw money, they will block your account or demand non-existent “taxes” and “withdrawal fees.” Stay away from them.
The registry of domain information WHOIS shows that the domain cifmarkets.com was created only on 2025-04-02, web archives show that the site was empty, and from 2026-03-03 there they placed a template typical white-label project, which they stamp also for other clone brokers. More than that the domain was bought only until 2027-04-02 – such a short term is a guaranteed sign of a short-term offshore scam.

It is not recommended to consider CIFMARKETS as a broker for access to global markets and online trading. They do not offer clear services of financial consulting, their balance reports and in general any documentation with statistics is not disclosed. This is not a broker with real access to the market and a reliable license from a TIER 1 regulator, this is a closed simulation of CFD contracts, which has hidden pricing and complaints about blocks of accounts from users.
The project doesn’t provide for separate storage of funds, but rather stores them all in a single account with the company’s own funds. This creates additional risks for the client, increases expectations regarding deposit receipt, and creates inconvenience due to the lack of reliable confirmation of the funds’ safety. Based on these facts and considerations, we have rated Cifmarkets’ reliability at 2 out of 10.
Trading fees and Costs

CIFMARKETS uses a system of accounts based on the minimum deposit, regardless of the investor’s country of residence. Traders receive the same commissions, which can be convenient for one instrument and competitive for others. Let’s look at the table of the main account types provided by the broker:
| Parameter | Silver | Gold | Platinum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swap Discount | None | 40% of Silver | 60% of Silver |
| Spread Discount | None | 50% of Silver | 75% of Silver |
| Leverage | Up to 1:200 | Up to 1:200 | Up to 1:200 |
| Stop-out Level | 5% | 5% | 5% |
| Minimum Lot | 0.01 | 0.01 | 0.01 |
Regarding the CFDs available for trading here, you’ll first need to complete a 13-question quiz about your income and financial situation during registration, followed by mandatory KYC (proof of citizenship and age, passport or driver’s license). Since the data processors and responsible persons are not identified, this could result in your data falling into the wrong hands, so exercise caution and assess the risks.

Next, you’ll be able to fund your account via cryptocurrency, cards, Google Play, and bank transfers. At this point, we learn that the minimum deposit is $250. However, there’s no mention of transaction fees or currency conversion fees, which is a clear cause for concern. The average time to fund a deposit is 24 hours. This step is optional, but trading is not possible without funding your account; the demo account is limited to simply viewing the terminal.

It’s worth noting that it’s impossible to create a trading account in South Africa, even though the broker claims to be licensed by that regulator.
For contracts on funds, European stocks, and currencies, such as EUR/USD, the terminal manually sets spreads of 2.9 pips, which is significantly high, compared to the industry average of 0.0 to 1.0. Essentially, when you open a trade, you immediately find yourself in the red, so much so that scalping is mathematically impossible to achieve profit.
One of the most disadvantageous aspects of CIFMARKETS is the inability to perform simple currency conversion on the platform. Such functionality is simply absent; shared accounts without segregation and separation between users and exchange funds play a key role in this limited functionality, a common problem with new offshore brokers.
Offshore CFD simulators (such as CIFMARKETS) do not provide real margin loans with annual interest. They operate on a B-book (kitchen) model, where you trade against the broker itself. They don’t need to borrow real money on the interbank market to provide you with liquidity.
Instead of the promised 1.5% annual interest rate for traders, they face exorbitant daily swaps (commissions for rolling over a position), which, when trading with leverage, will quickly wipe out your account.
Account types
The opening of an account at Cifmarkets.com is limited only to individual types of accounts silver gold platinum. Joint, business or children types of accounts are unavailable. For registration it is necessary to be older than 18 years, the minimal deposit is 250$.
For work with instruments KYC is obligatory, replenishment of the account and acceptance of the legal agreement “Declaration of Deposit” – this document is created for that so in case of disputing operations you would not be protected, a tick put on this condition means that you completely voluntarily sent money to an offshore. Most often at an attempt of withdrawal of funds and freezing in view of unreasonable commissions and extortions this is bad for the user, because he then will not be protected by law.

Products and Markets
The cifmarkets.com platform doesn’t boast a wide range of investment products and markets. Only CFDs on currencies, cryptocurrency (10 coins), stocks, and Forex are available.
There are no futures or real options on anything. There are no exotic stock or derivatives markets. There are also no bonds. If you’re looking for real, professional-quality, and comfortable trading, you should choose another provider.
The broker’s WebTrader trading terminal is too simple and outdated and doesn’t allow for copy trading, automated trading, or advanced trade statistics. There’s no in-depth market analytics; unfortunately, the interface is limited to a built-in chart from TradingView and a non-functional financial news calendar.
Trading platforms
CIFMARKETS does not have the MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView and CopyTrader trading platforms at all.
CIFMarkets uses only a template-based, low-cost WebTrader; without professional tools and software, you won’t be able to use the advanced terminals popular worldwide. Charts are displayed using a TradingView iframe, which provides chart drawing tools but doesn’t allow for the use of pre-built strategies or real-time alerts.
It’s worth noting that there’s no social community, grid trading features, or synchronization of multiple charts. The rating is 2 out of 5 stars, as the platform is user-friendly and lacks professional indicators.
Tax regime
CIFMARKETS is a website that operates under unregulated offshore regulations (it uses the legal identity of a private, offline company in South Africa). Taxation here is completely outside the international legal framework.
When transferring funds to this platform, they cannot be considered legal financial assets held in official foreign brokerage custody. As a citizen of any jurisdiction, you are required to declare your income, but the broker does not provide verified reports, certificates, or tax information, which creates additional risks.
Please be aware that CIFMARKETS may request unsubstantiated insurance and tax deductions upon withdrawal. This is a common scam to defraud clients through extortion. Ultimately, you may receive no refund; the actual taxes are always paid by the trader.
Customer support
The quality of CIFMarkets’ customer support is one of the service’s perceived weaknesses. This opinion is widespread among the broker’s few traders, and our personal tests, as well as those of Confero, with whom we partner, confirm this conclusion.
Phone calls and emails to support@cifmarkets.com from various regions, both from us and Confero analysts, confirmed that support is very reluctant to respond to problems and questions, responding only in English and within three days, and sometimes ignoring requests altogether.
The lowest professionalism rating was for deposit blocking and account freezing issues. The broker clearly ignored approximately 30 requests, and support representatives simply interrupted conversations—hence the rating of 2.5 out of 5, although it’s worth noting that they respond actively to deposit replenishment questions. There is no live chat directly with an operator, and the details of those responsible for collecting confidential information are not disclosed.
Education
Although CIFMarkets is clearly aimed at beginner traders, there’s no educational program as such. There’s no training center or video materials. A blog with expert content from the platform’s specialists could be added; this would improve the platform’s visibility and reliability, which are currently extremely low.
Overall rating
Overall, CIFMarkets performed poorly during the corporate structure audit and testing. It’s both dangerous and unacceptable to ignore the fact that this broker doesn’t even have an offshore license, the website is very new, and the team is ineffective and anonymous. Everyone should be aware of this to avoid losing money.
Beginner traders should find another broker with a license and market experience.
